Mini Hama Beads. They’re 1/4 the size of regular perler/hama beads and a huge pain in the butt to work with. On the upside, they flatten enough that you can put them into frames! Here are just a few pieces that I made – Shovel Knight, Samus w/Metroid, Squirt from Bastion, Felicia, Prince of the cosmos, Pocky from Pocky and Rocky (one of my favorite pieces). For the backgrounds I just used scrap paper that I had laying around with the rest of my supplies. I chose the ones with the streak patterns to try to give it some motion. The Pocky one is actually some sticky scroll fabric that I’d found at Daiso in Seattle. All of these are gone now, but I’m looking forward to making some more mini hama frames. 🙂
Oh, and to the left there you can see some Nasu (yume nikki) necklaces, metroid earrings, pokeball rings and a poro sprite that i’d also made.
All of my art is for sale. If you have any requests or would like to order a custom piece, please be sure to email me at email@example.com
